In general, stronger compression creates a smaller file but may reduce video quality.
How to compress a video
Open a supported video category.
Select the video you want to compress.
Choose Video Compression.
Select a quality level.
Start the compression process and keep CleanX open.
Wait for the process to finish.
Review the compressed video.
Delete the original only after you are satisfied with the result.
CleanX may show the estimated or confirmed amount of storage saved after compression.
Do I need free storage to compress a video?
Yes. The original video and the new compressed version may both exist temporarily while the process is running.
Make sure your device has enough available storage before starting the compression.
How much storage can I save?
The amount of space saved depends on the original video and the compression setting you choose. For this reason, CleanX cannot guarantee a specific percentage of storage savings for every video.
What if I can't find the compressed video?
If the compression completes successfully but the new video is not visible, check your device's media library and make sure CleanX has permission to add or save media. Also check whether CleanX reported a successful or failed compression.
