A CleanX scan may stop or remain incomplete if the app loses access to your media, runs in the background, or your device does not have enough battery or storage.
Before trying the scan again, check your permissions and keep CleanX open while the scan is running.
What should I do if my scan does not finish?
Keep CleanX open while the scan is running.
Connect your device to power, if possible.
Check that your device has enough available storage.
Verify that CleanX has the required Photos or media permissions.
Close other apps that may be using a lot of device resources.
Reopen CleanX and start the scan again.
If the scan stops again, note the category and approximate point where it stopped.
A very large media library or unsupported content may also affect the scan.
What if the scan keeps stopping at the same point?
If the scan repeatedly stops at the same stage, contact CleanX Support and provide:
Device model
Operating system version
CleanX app version
Cleanup category
Approximate scan progress when it stops
This information can help the support team investigate the issue.
Is an incomplete scan always an error?
A scan may appear incomplete because the results have not finished loading, or because the scan completed but found no eligible items.
Before reporting a failure, check whether the scan shows a completed state and whether any results are available.
