Does CleanX upload my photos or videos?

CleanX's local photo and video cleanup features are designed to support on-device processing where the feature allows it.

However, not every CleanX feature necessarily works the same way. Some connected or optional features may require additional services or data access.

The way your data is handled can depend on the specific feature, platform, and CleanX app version.

How can I check how a feature handles my data?

  1. Identify the CleanX feature you are using.

  2. Open the feature's permission or privacy information.

  3. Review the current Privacy Policy.

  4. Grant only the permissions required for the feature.

  5. Contact CleanX Support if you need clarification about a specific feature.

Are all photos and videos processed on my device?

Local cleanup features are intended to use on-device processing where supported. However, you should not assume that all CleanX features always process all media locally.

Connected utilities and optional features may have different technical requirements.

Where can I find more information?

The current Privacy Policy is the source of truth for how CleanX handles data. Specific storage providers, encryption methods, or other technical details may vary by feature and release and should only be relied on when confirmed in the current documentation.
